Our Identity

Our Identity
We are evangelicals. Our theology places particular emphasis on people’s freedom of conscience. It considers personal conversion to be a prerequisite for becoming a Christian. Church membership is the fruit of a profession of faith that follows a personal encounter with Jesus Christ, not an affiliation by birth. The evangelical Protestant is therefore first and foremost a “newborn” who has consciously made the choice to join his or her Church.
We place the Bible at the center of our lives. Considered the sole source of authority, the Gospel is read in an orthodox, sometimes even literalist, way. As a reflection of God’s Word, its teachings are reflected in every aspect of the evangelical Christian’s life.

As evangelicals, we are also witnesses, committed to spreading the Gospel message. Organized and fostered by the congregation, this voluntarism translates into an energetic proselytism that is particularly present in the social sphere, for us at the local level.
Evangelical doctrine naturally pushes us towards a social conservatism that preserves traditional morality. As a result, we adopt a traditionalist approach when it comes to homosexuality, abortion, or even sexuality outside marriage.
Our Logo
Our logo is a lighted torch held by a golden hand half surrounded by two palm leaves.
- The torch symbolizes the flame of the gospel, always lit
- The palm, called the prince of the plant kingdom, is a tree that flourishes everywhere. If the water of the ground is the bath of the palm’s feet, the fire of heaven is its crown. The palm leaves symbolize the Christian upright towards the sky, nourished by an inner source, he adapts to even unfavorable environments for the good of all
- The hand, represents our commitment to hold the baton and pass it on so that it continues its journey until the return of Jesus Christ
